Feeling Alive origin story

Often in life, we are comfortable with our current situation and circumstances. We expect life to continue on a certain path, and would never question the road we have carved out, and what is familiar. Half dead, bored, blocked, melancholic, checking items off our to do list, going through the motions, waking up, working, making dinner for the kids, wash, rinse, repeat, is not a life fully lived. However content and comfortable we may be, fate, destiny, and magic can change things on a dime. We change through pleasure or pain. It’s only when we are removed from our comfort zone, the mundane, what we know, and expect, that we can see the magic all around us. Only when we commit to fully feeling the art of life, that which makes us really feel fully alive, present, juicy, and conscious can we step into our full power and destiny. Those epic peak Moments in life are the ones that are worth living. Often, our paths can go in a completely unexpected way that we never could’ve ever dreamed of. Whether it’s traveling to a foreign land, finding your life’s passion, meeting the love of your life, having a spiritual awakening, or all of the above, this song is a call to honor that which is uncomfortable. Embrace what life brings you. Sometimes within the discomfort comes our greatest gifts and awareness. No one should have to live a life that feels half dead. This song is about having the courage to accept the call, the good with the bad- the full spectrum of human experience. This song is about opening up to everything that makes life worth living. Most importantly, it’s a reminder to all of us to remember to detach from the current circumstances, to unplug from the societal programming controlling our emotions, and to do something every day that makes us feel fully alive.
